Hello darlings! Spring may be upon our door steps but you can't beat pretty taupe manicure! Especially the right shade..!
Here are my latest varnish purchases...
(L-R) OPI Over The Taupe - Essie Merino Cool - OPI You Don't Know Jacques

OPI Over The Taupe - It took FOUR coats to get it to look like this, how I like it. It was ridiculously sheer, almost water like with a hint of colour, being the first out of the three that I set my heart on, I'm very disappointed. I'm used to OPI varnishes being a lot better. However once you reach third/fourth coat the colour is lovely. Once built up it's a grey taupe colour.
Essie Merino Cool - I don't have one bad word to say about this polish, it took two coats to achieve this gorgeous colour, just so effortless and it's my favourite of the lot, Essie varnishes always are! I'd say this colour is a cool purple toned taupe.
OPI You Don't Know Jacques - I took three coats to achieve an opaque colour, although I would of preferred it a little lighter, after two colours it just looked too sheer so pretty pointless. I'd say this varnish is a dirty brown grey taupe. I do like it though and immediately knew what it would look good with...
Three coats of You Don't Know Jacques and two coats of OPI My Private Jet...
What are your favourite taupe colours? I'll be honest I am certainly eyeing up more of Essies Neutrals, I just think they are beautiful and such good quality!
